Itching and dandruff – a (too) common duo
If you notice small white flakes on your shoulders, it’s most likely dandruff. It’s often associated with seborrheic dermatitis, a condition in which the scalp’s balance is disrupted and excessive sebum is secreted. The result is flaking, itching, and discomfort.
Helpful tip:
Choose gentle shampoos containing zinc pyrithione or ketoconazole, ingredients known for their ability to soothe inflammation and restore balance to the scalp. Avoid harsh scrubbing and very hot water.
