Karpatka Cake: Polish gourmet mountain with vanilla cream

๐Ÿงพ Ingredients (for a 20 x 20 cm square or 24 cm round mold)
For the choux pastry (x2, one base + one top):

125 ml of water

125 ml of milk

100 g butter

1 pinch of salt

150 g of flour

4 eggs

๐Ÿ‘‰ Prepare twice for both layers of cake.

For the vanilla cream:

500 ml of whole milk

120 g de sucre

1 vanilla pod (or 1 tsp natural extract)

2 egg yolks

1 whole egg

50 g cornstarch

150 g soft butter (at room temperature)

For the finish:

Icing sugar for dusting
