Tartar contains magnesium , which is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and for supporting muscles and joints . According to some naturopaths, potassium bitartrate can be used in the form of baths to relieve arthritis pain .
Mix 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar with 3 tablespoons of Epsom salt . Add the mixture to a tub of warm water. Soak for 30–40 minutes , once or twice daily.
This procedure can help reduce inflammation and stiffness while simultaneously relaxing muscles and improving blood circulation.
3. Alleviating urinary tract infections
Urinary tract infections are a common problem, especially in women. They occur when urine creates an environment conducive to bacterial growth.
According to some natural sources, tartar can help regulate the pH of urine , which makes it harder for infection to develop and helps cleanse the body .
Mix 1½ teaspoons of cream of tartar with 1 cup of warm water . Add a few drops of lemon juice for extra effect. Drink this drink 1–2 times a day .
