The homemade recipe with ginger, salt and lime
To prepare a natural polishing paste, you need:
Ingredients :
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- ½ tsp fine sea salt
- ½ tsp freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 tsp water to make a paste
- Optional : 1 drop of peppermint essential oil (food grade)
Preparation :
- Mix the ginger and salt in a small bowl.
- Add the lime juice and water little by little to form a paste.
- Apply a thin layer to a soft toothbrush.
- Brush gently for up to 1 minute.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Frequency : 1 time per week maximum to avoid damaging the enamel.
Precautions to keep in mind
- Do not brush forcefully to avoid wearing down the enamel.
- Discontinue immediately if sensitivity or irritation occurs.
- Always use fine salt to limit abrasion.
- Rinse well after using lime to neutralize the acidity.
Other natural tips to supplement
- Baking soda : use very occasionally to lightly polish the enamel.
- Crunchy foods : apples, carrots, celery can help mechanically clean teeth.
- Oil mouthwash : Coconut oil, for example, can help improve oral hygiene.
- Limit coloring drinks : coffee, red wine, dark sodas.
